Foreign leaders congratulate President with Eid al-Adha
|Heads of foreign states and international organizations have sent congratulatory letters to President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in connection with Kurban Hayit (Eid al-Adha) holiday. |
King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in particular, sent sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the sacred holiday on behalf of the people and the government of his country, UzA reported.
President of the United States Barack Obama wrote: "The American people join me and my wife Michel in expressing our best wishes to you and the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of celebration of Eid al-Adha."
Barack Obama expressed hope people everywhere shared the spirit and devotion embodied in the holiday and would continue their efforts in achieving peace and kindness for the whole humanity on the basis of compassion and generosity.
